| Indah Clothing started with an ambitious girl who had a dream—a dream to make clothes which fit the laid-back, fun-in-the-sun, beach lifestyle Libby De Santis and her friends led. Beautiful, interesting, fun, sexy, and comfortable is a good way to describe the style of Indah. Libby uses a wide variety of cotton fabrics, amazing silks and the softest, slinkiest Lycra's. Every season she tries to use new fabric ways to keep things interesting and different. Indah’s fit is hard to duplicate—low-rise, perfectly cut silhouettes to show off your sexy figure without compromising comfort. Each season the main focus is creating original hand drawn screen prints by hand and using the old art of Batik wax stamps. We are also using an amazing natural dye "alam" factory where they grind up leaves, bark, and flowers for color. All pieces come out beautiful and different with this natural process. We also offer hand painted pieces where each item is drawn by hand with wax then filled in with color all by an actual artist. Indah is really trying to educate our customer of the hand process each piece goes through. It is not massed produced and each item is a piece of art and made with a lot of love. Designer and owner Libby De Santis founded the Indah label in 1996 with help from business guru Joe Paskal. Libby left her hometown of Hanalei, Kauai and moved to Bali, Indonesia with her husband Joe to begin her company. She would log many trips between Bali and the United States to market her clothing and realize her dream. Being a wife, and a mother to her little boy Max, Libby was challenged with the additional responsibility of maintaining a growing company. But with her tenacious personality, she never let her dream slip away; earning the respect and attention her designs deserve. Libby and Joe now have a second little boy "Kahea", now 18 months. Everyone who saw the clothes Libby designed loved them, but getting exposure for Indah was the hardest hurdle to overcome. She needed someone to help her. Amy Hodel, a clothing and bikini rep from Kauai, was looking for a solid clothing line to represent in Hawaii. Through a mutual friend, the two were introduced and hit it off instantly. From the looks of things now, Libby and Amy have become a dynamite team. Libby is still based in Bali to focus on designing and managing Indah’s production along side with her husband Joe who is the production manager. Amy helps to run things stateside, having built a hard-working team of reps on both the west and east coasts. Amy is now a part of the design process and flies to Bali to help Libby design each season which is always fun! It is an exciting road ahead! Hope you enjoy our website...
